Anarchy Evolution

I recently purchase the new book "Anarchy Evolution" by Greg Graffin. I pretty much consider Greg Graffin to be a god, so this was an easy sell on his part. The main concept of the book deals with politics, religion, and science, but it also gives a lot of back story on his band Bad Religion. It's interesting finding out the influences behind some of his songs.

I find that a lot of punk rockers these days are kids who just want to bitch about something that their peers are all talking about so they can act like they stand for something. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE punk rock, but it's nice when a band can back up their lyrics with actual intellect. Greg Graffin has his doctorate degree in Evolutionary Biology and is a professor at UCLA. This dude knows what he is talking about. I have 3 college degrees and I still need to look up some of the words he uses in his lyrics!

Anyways, I'm excited about reading this book and learning more about these areas from someone I trust not to bullshit me.

This song by The Daylights is amazing. The music video is super creative. It kinda reminds me of the hands in the old David Bowie movie "Labyrinth."

It's my birthday in 10 days!

This is my first birthday in 3 years that I won't be in Texas! I plan to celebrate LA style. Me and my friends are going to an arcade! My sister, Lindsay and her boyfriend, Ryan are flying into town as well! I'm pretty excited. 26?! Seriously, where has the time gone? My parents were right, time does go by fast when you get older. 

I found photos last night from my junior and senior years. It seems like it was last year, but it was almost 9 years ago! I plan on making this year count. 2012 is getting close so my time is running out, ha!

So, I guess I better make the best of my life as a 25 year old. 10 more days to go!
